New CIEH Climate Change networking site

CIEH has established a ‘community of practice’ website entitled “Environmental Health Climate Change Community” to help share and disseminate examples of environmental health led climate change projects.  Set up following suggestions at the CIEH Climate Change Forum, the website is being run on an extended six month trial basis, and is being hosted by the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) Communities of practice for local government site, an existing site established by the IDeA.  The IDeA site can be accessed here.

The IDeA platform was established to support professional social networks across local government and the public sector. It provides a secure environment for knowledge development and sharing through online communities.  Acknowledging that many social networking platforms have access blocked at work, the CIEH has decided to use this established and easily accessible site to enable practitioners to share examples of climate change interventions, from local authority carbon reduction strategies to air pollution, heat wave action plans and all others.

We hope that you will be willing to participate in this forum, and find it a useful resource.
