Welcome to the website of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Northern Ireland (CIEH NI); the CIEH was originally founded in 1884 and granted it’s Royal Charter in 1984 and since then has had a long and productive history.
Today our mission is to maintain, enhance and promote improvements in environmental and public health through knowledge, understanding and campaigning and our vision is to be the knowledge manager and champion of the environmental health community.
The CIEH constantly works to change what the world thinks about health and wellbeing by becoming more prominent campaigners, building on our research and evidence base and establishing ourselves at the heart of a network of organisations and individuals dedicated to improving environmental health.
